The Local Waterfront Revitalization Program, a community-prepared plan that provides policy and land use recommendations for the City’s waterfront, is hosting a public workshop Monday, March 30. The workshop is intended to show Peekskill residents how the LWRP can help encourage waterfront improvements.
The evening will include a discussion about the community’s vision for the waterfront. The city also hopes the participants can discuss a way to create an inventory of waterfront resources, identify critical issues facing the waterfront and discuss potential projects to activate the waterfront and connect to downtown.
The City of Peekskill, with the help of a committee of local residents, business owners and civic leaders, is undergoing a public process to update the City’s LWRP.
The meeting will take place March 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Neighborhood Center Nutrition Room 4 Nelson Ave., Peekskill.
